“I need to worship because without it I can forget that I have a big God beside me and live in fear. I need to worship because without it I can forget his calling and begin to live in a spirit of self-preoccupation. I need to worship because without it I lose a sense of wonder and gratitude and plod through life with blinders on. I need worship because my natural tendency is toward self-reliance and stubborn independence.”–John Ortberg
Lake Erie Church is an unashamedly Pentecostal and Charismatic church. We fully believe that Christians should be expressive in their worship unto God. Although these expressions may differ from one person to the next, we believe that, all together, they combine to form a chorus that is pleasing to God. Below we have listed the expressions of worship that Lake Erie Church offers.
Voices of Praise
Voices of Praise is the name of our choir and band at Lake Erie Church. This anointed group exists for the purpose of helping to create an atmosphere, every Sunday, for us to be able to experience the presence of the Lord and receive what He has for us. God has also blessed Voices of Praise with multiple opportunities to be able to exercise their gifts outside of the church. They have led worship at various camp meetings, churches, and events with the goal of helping people connect with the life-changing presence of God.
U.M.O.P.
(United Movement of Praise)
U.M.O.P. is our adult worship and dance ministry group. Once or twice a month, this group does a great job of blessing us with a powerful, thought provoking dance or small skit.
Potter’s Clay Dance Group
This is LEC’s dance group for 2nd graders through High School. It is our goal to glorify God through dance! Young people learn the skills of dance and how to worship God through dance.
